It's getting to where cash is almost contraband, like 100 watt light bulbs. A guy needs to cash, rather than deposit, some checks from time to time, and keep the money in an envelope somewhere so that if he needs to buy something and the bank is out of money, he can still do so.
Sometimes I wonder why they even still have physical banks. You can do all your normal banking through an ATM these days, and there's nobody in the bank who has the authority to do anything extra anyway. I like our bank, because it still looks about like it did when it was built 100 years ago, but as far as the way it's run, it might as well be stuck between the Subway and the Minute Lube in a suburban strip mall.
