And that was an improvement over what? A guy with a wooden box and a shovel? It's amazing what they built back then with lousy tools, machinery, and equipment. I guess the difference is labor was a dollar a day.

I wonder when the modern concrete mixer truck was invented. Was it a Putzmaster?
