The problem is that Dan Mininger and a couple other guys have done a really nice job converting their trucks. This gives the average guy the idea that they can do it too. That's just not realistic. Most of us have nowhere near the ability and resources that Dan has.

And, people think that when they finish they will have something that will compare to a new Dodge pickup in usability. That's not the case.

I have two partial trucks that were someone's dream of a "frame off" (shouldn't that be a body off?) restoration. I know of others.

Second only to rust, I think that unrealistic attempts to restore or convert trucks are now the main reason for the loss of FFPW's.

But, at least, it keeps the supply of used parts coming.
