Don Evans was the first with the correct answer and Glen of Idaho with the application.
I am working on the brakes of a truck that will be used on the farm. The drums and shoes are worn badly, the wheel cylinders are frozen with corrosion, mud, and a goopy substance that I suspect is what is left of the brake fluid. After talking nicely to the cylinder and a bit of warmth it freed up and came apart. Inside I found the cups had the DPCD logo on them which are most likely original and have been in service since'52. The spring had thses covers/pushers on the ends and the bores need a bit of honing before installing new rubber and reinstalling in the truck. As for the rest of the system itll get less worn shoes from the "parts well never use but save anyway" pile and reinstalled on the old drums. Probably not ideal for road use but for the farm they will serve their purpose for many years.

Stay tuned for the next round of your favorite game and mine, Power Wagon Trivia.
