First off let me say thanks for all the help yall have been giving me. this is my first PW build so im still learning. I recently decided to freshen the motor of my WM300 with a 251. The motor was rebuilt in the early 1990's so i decided to do a timing cain on it. I installed the new timing chain and everything was perfect. It was late an i was tired and not thinking and i over torqued the bolt on one of the three bolt holes. (Triangular shaped metal piece) The next morning i rethreaded to hole one size larger. It worked great however the rethreading die hit the block at the end limiting me from fully threading the hole all of the way back. Being only a couple threads shy i decided to use the bolt the push it the rest of the way through. Doing so wasnt smart because it broke off the ear of traiangular plate that the timing chain attaches too.

Question 1

How do i get that triangular piece off? It looks like it can be pulled however being an odd shape my double armed gear puller wouldnt work.

Question 2
All my part trucks have the 230 engine. Is that triangle piece the same on both motors? i know they share some common parts.

Thanks for the help!
