The "return" line in his case would be the feed from the remote resivoir. Fluid leaves the pump, through the hydroboost and PS and the returns go to the remote resivoir, then back to the pump through the resivoir line.

The remote resivoir line becomes part of the flow path instead of just part of the fluid reserve.

The pump that came with my engine has one return line and one nipple for the remote resivoir on the pump and the remote resivoir has a nipple on the bottom for the pump and a second inlet for the second return feed.

It should end up working very nicely since the return from the PS will go to the pump which keeps all those lines down low, and the remote resivoir and the hydroboost return will be close to each other on the firewall. By rotating my hydroboost the way I did all the fittings are on the bottom which also means all the lines stay lower and shorter.
