I also have a 90's chevy suburban 18 gal tank under my '51 that I got from a junk yard. No rust, nice and shiny inside. Think I paid $20 for it. Nestles nicely between the frame rails behind the differential. Yor are going to have to cut a hole and modify your fuel gage sender(for depth) if you want to use the stock gage.
You can also try street rod and racing catalogs for a variety of plastic, stainless and steel tanks and fuel cells.
