This truck looks more complete than many that are sold here.

I'm just saying, these trucks are not that rare or that valuable that it makes sense to spend a lot or time, money and effort on what may be basically a parts truck.

I wouldn't count on the engine running reliably when figuring future plans. Having an engine rebuilt will be in the $2,000 dollar range.

Especially ask about rust along the bottom back edge of the cab (they all have it, even if it hasn't eaten all the way through), the cab floor and where the cross members meet the frame. All common rust prone areas.

If the brakes don't work, don't expect to get away with a simple brake job like on a car. Figure the better part of $1,000 if you run into any significant problems.

You'll spend in the neighborhood of $1,000 just to get decent tires on it. And, figure $600 or more for a radiator re-core. Or, just buy a decent running truck for around $5,000.
