The PTO cover (CC #1189456) was reproduced perhaps 12 years ago in a limited run of ten, sold out quickly and has not been available for many years. The cover protected the 6B spline shaft when not in use and had to be removed to use the rear PTO shaft. It was not a PTO shield.

A PTO shield is typically a sheet metal 3 sided "roof" or guard that protects the operator from getting wrapped up in the coupler U joints when the PTO is being operated. The PW PTO shield (CC# 1189700) that is listed on page 114 in the 1946 PW Preliminary Parts List (D-11091) was cancelled and never used or produced. See page 9 in the February 1948 PW Parts List for Model WDX (D-12004). To my best knowledge, no one ever reproduced a PW PTO shield.

Because the bolt pattern on the PW rear PTO belt pulley is the same as used on the Ford 9N/2N/8N tractor belt pulley, your best bet is to buy and adopt (as and if necessary) a Ford tractor rear PTO shield to your PW. It should be pretty close to a bolt-up fit. Let me know how it turns out.
