If you plan on driving at least 30,000 miles per year diesel is the way to go. On maintance it cost me around $50.00 per oil change doing it myself, or $62.00 at quick lube changing it every 5,000 miles. And change fuel filter every 10,000 miles. I realize dodge is a great truck on fuel milage however is you ask the haulers going down the Hwy they don't get 16 to 20 mpg. It's like anything you load it down and fuel consumption will go down. All the dodge hot shot haulers I talk to get from 11 mpg to 15 mpg. Ford is from 8 to 14 mpg depending on gear ratios.
