Quote: 230 cu. in engine, 5.83 axle ratio, spur gear 4 speed tranny (6.40 1st gear), 2 speed transfer case (1.96 low range) for 114% gradeability, meaning she can climb about a 50 degree slope (45 degrees = 100% grade, 1 foot rise for 1 foot distance).

The M37 manual merely says the M37 can do a 65% grade WITH 1500 lbs of payload. It says nothing about empty. Since the engine, axle, tranny, transfer and tires are the same, I would assume the M37 can do 100%+ grade as well empty?

BTW, neat rig. I'd like to see pics of your T233. The T233 and T47 are pretty cool. I think I saw on the VPW website quite a while back a low silhouette command car pictured on page 307 of Crismons book. You know anything about that? Also, do any T225 & T226 low profile Dodge weapons carriers still exist? They remind me of the 1 1/2 ton Ford "Burma Jeep".
