First of all, thanks all who write in the forum. I read it EVERY DAY without fail. I am begining (again) to restrore my B4 PW. Now I want to remove the pickup box. Overall, it's in rather descent shape. The top rail is of course dented and rust holes appear underneath. The wood is shot. I began the tedious task of grinding off all the nuts fastened to the carriage bolts on the bed strips. I'm using an air powered mini grinder. if it was'nt soo cramped I use a regular grinder but I don't want nick the metal cross members. I wonder if i should have the bed sides "dipped" rather than sand bast them as I want to remove all the rust hidden from view. Any ideas? How about bed kits; Mar-K seems to have nice stuff. Are they OK to deak with. Any other choices. I was luck enough to buy a good tailgate from Dennis Sherman and bed front panel. I recommend Dennis any time too. I'm sorry to be so long winded but I have only one 1 ton and I want to do it right. Thanks.
