Brett,
I know which Power Wagon you're talking about. I inquired about removing it about five years ago. Park Service said, "If they were to allow me take it out (big emphasis on the 'if') the only way would be via helicopter transport." At my expense of course! I argued that using a Cat in the winter , after freeze up, wouldn't hurt anything. After all, it was a Cat that built the trail at which the PW sits at the end of. Not worth my time or money since there are plenty of old Power Wagons closer to Alaska's road system. Take a picture for the album and enjoy it for what it is. If it makes you feel any better, on the day I found it I also surprised a beautiful female skinny dipping woman in the stream next to it. Too bad I had used all of my film on the old Dodge!
