I've had my M37 up to 2800 rpm in 5th which is 76 mph. Radial tires, disk brakes in front, PS. Usually I keep to 65-68 on our little freeway.
My 88 F350 crewcab has 11.00R16s and 4.88 gears, a 7.3 with a turbo and a 5spd. In Montana in '96 I had it up to 3100 rpm in 5th which was about 93 I think. I had about 5-10 extra psi in the tires and I coasted down to 70 rather quickly. Just burns a hell of a lot of diesel at that speed.
