I won't be hauling my PW around. It will pulling it's own weight or I won't be driving it. I don't want it for a toy, I want for it's tough. As for the apples and oranges, I have a '53 Studebaker that still runs and has over 500,000 miles on it (3rd engine,1st was flathead 8, also 3on the tree w/overdrive). I know it's the truth because My father bought it when it was a year old and we have used on our farm for all those years and miles. Good maintainance will keep these old rigs running. I dought if a $40,000 truck could withstand what that $1500 truck has with the best of maintainance! I'm sorry, but I feel that auto prices and their direction have gotten a little off track!
