I presently have a '99 2500 V-10, 5 spd. I am thinking of trading it for a diesel, in another 3/4 ton.
I admit to wishing we were a little more Ford-like in the sense that we had real lockouts on our front axle, and that we had disc brakes on the rear (which I think maybe the new ones do), as mine does not have discs on the rear. I hate the fact Dodge does not offer lockouts and a traditional front axle design.
I wish I had gotten the 4.10 gears with the gas engine, and ponder the gearing for the diesel. Choosing the wrong ratio is an expensive mistake....
