I stopped at NAPA yesterday. They had a universal sending unit in stock but had nothing specifically for VW, not even in their catalog. The universal unit is a single wire set-up with an after-market gauge included. I intend to keep my original gauge, so I guess I'll be looking for a rebuilder. Thanks for your help!
