Last weekend, I captured and brought home the frame and bed of a WC52 to put towards completion of my '43 WC.
The gentleman from whom I made the purchase is a retired logger that has too many vehicles in his yard and needs room to work on some even older machines. Mr. Reed has a 1950 and a 1952 Power Wagon for sale (I have too many projects with my WCs). Both have winches, neither have beds, both engines seem to run good. Both have rust, and need a lot of work, as they all do.... I did not look closer as I had other things to do before the weather set in. He is asking $1,500 each. I expect he may take a little less, as they have been for sale for a couple of months.
Mr. Reed is one of those good guys (grandpa types) you recognize immediately. Phone 503-630-4949, he is located 6 miles SE of Estacada, Oregon, which is about 40 miles SE of Portland, OR. By the way, he also has an Allis-Chalmers model "C" tractor, circa 1950, for sale.
