There is a policy offered by Elite Insurance Company called the Silver Wheels Plan. I deal with Lant & Co. Insurance Brokers Ltd.,
156 Duncan Mill Road, Suite 6, Don Mills Ont., M3B 3N2 Tel:(416) 447-9191. You will need to have the vehicle professionally appraised. I deal with a company called Tritech (905) 575-1238. They will do a full report on the vehicle, including pictures over, under, around & through. They cover everything from door seals to trannys. Cost is about $130 to $150 Cdn. You need to have it re-appraised every 5 years. The insurance company has 2 basic categories-over 15 years old called "Special Interest", and over 25 years old called "Antique". If the vehicle has had any significant speed mod's, there is a class for "Hot Rods". Coverage is 12 months PL/PD $1,000,000, comprehensive, and collision. Driving is restricted to 16,000 kms/year, and they are supposed to be run for "Special Occasions" I have a show quality '56 C3PW and a concours '72 Mustang Mach 1, and my total premium for both last year was $327 Cdn.
