I was in a little hurry yesterday, so here is a little more of the story, which I call the 'Ol McDonnalds' scenario. The cam for the LA engine runs the intake and exhaust like this;
EEIIIIEEEEIIIIEE, or for one side EIIEEIIE.
The "A" Poly on the other hand is
EEIIEEIIEEIIEEII, or for one side EIEIEIEI.
As you can see, the cams, although they share bearings, don't share the
order on the cam, which is why your engine won't run. For the same reason only Poly headers will work because of the exhaust port differance in the heads.
Therefore the 'Ol McDonald' factor,..... EIEIO!
