Hi Clarence,
I'm guessing that you have the 318 Poly. Is the lower edge of the valve cover 'scalopped'? The 318 Poly IS NOT an "LA" engine it is an "A" block. Actually a Hemi type motor with GREAT potential. The valve sequence is totally different from the "LA" 318 and most likely the guys didn't know this and used an "LA" cam for your motor. Hopefully it NEVER fired and the rods and valves aren't bent. Your cam is available from Chris Nielson in North Farmington Utah. He is the ONLY source that I know of. He shipped to me in 3 days UPS, great service! $259 includes shipping and lifters, this is a solid lifter motor, you'll NEED those!
