I was talking to the man at Car Quest the other day, and he said he had an acquaintance that had his CTD truck's turbo "go" under warranty.
When he took it into the dealer, even though there was not a chip installed at that time, the diagnostic computer showed that previously someone had installed a chip for some time. The warranty claim was denied due to this. So, there is a memory on the trucks computer that can be read.
This information made me wonder about waiting till the warranty was out before adding a chip if I got a new truck. I assume yours is out of warranty now?
