Hey Mark, I spent a lot of time playing with early mopar automatics. If you find a trans that is the right length, you should be able to install a p/b or lever type valve body from a torque-flite or Power-flite. The case should be drilled for both cable and column shift with a steel plug covering the unused opening.
Also there were a number of industrial applications that used the early two speed autos. Tow motors and a few fork lifts and things of that ilk.
