This was my first Base/clear job and I'm not a pro at it. I've painted with acrylic enamel in the past.

The one thing I would call a minus in the base clear column is you have more chances to make an error because you have more layers/stages. By the end of the day your mental drained and physically tired. Lot of it it worry and stress of fearing something going wrong. Just being honest here from my experience.

Basically if you can follow directions you'll be fine. ask for the sheets and mixed everything to the letter. I use a big Glass measuring cup. Don't mix brands as you don't want that variable.

The Autobodystore.com forum is REAL good and I learned loads there. Plenty of guys here have been in your shoes, just ask.
