My 1960 W300 Power Giant has a NV4500HD Tranny, driving into a NP-205 Married T Case.
I used this same combo on my M37, Carryall. My Power Wagon still retains the NP-200 T Case. All are powered with Cummins B3.9, CPL 857 engines.

I like the NV4500HD, have never had a problem. My concern with the Gas'er ZF-S542 Tranny is the internal clutch slave. If you have a slave cylinder problem, its a huge job to get to it for repair. I can change a NV-4500HD clutch external slave, in minutes with no hassle. The diesel version of the ZF-S542 does have a external clutch slave, but it wont bolt up to the Ford/Cummins Bell House. You would need to buy or make or have made expensive adapters.
