Hi George,
I have had similar issues with my M37. I started out with a variety of supposedly good pumps, they would work fine on the bench, but not in the truck. I finally put on an NOS pump and it worked great, for almost a year. Put on a second NOS one, and need to send the other one out to get rebuilt with ethanol proof rubbers before the second pump dies. I installed a 24 volt electric pump in line and with a switch to use as an emergency backup pump.
