I got a piece of steel bar, drilled it to suit the mounting holes on the block, then put the alternator with bracket in the right place for the pulley alignment, tacked it in place, then pulled it off and fully welded it - looks pretty neat. Get the pulley first - VPW should have them for the M601's.
