Having one hole welded up on an eight-lug Dana hub and redrilling it for something like a 5 on 4.5" or 5 on 5.25", I've read about. I don't have a front Dana of any type, so I can't measure the OD of the wheel-mounting surface on the hub. I was just thinking that it wasn't large enough to have enough material from the studs-out to the edge to support the stress of the 6 7/8" bolt pattern. Now, I might be WAY mistaken on it, as he hub diameter might be something like ten inches, or even nine. That would be plenty stout enough. Then again, isn't it an 8 on 6.5", anyway? Time to do some intense internet surfing...
