Kevin you make some very good points about the crane. The cost of the crane was not the issue, but rather the concrete work required to support it. Going from a 6" floating slab to a poured foundation, footing, and floor to support the crand and its payload would cost me double what the cost of the structure for a given size building. Or another way of looking at it, the crane's concrete would add %50 to the total cost.
