I'd asked him about making my own water pump and flywheel spacer last year, and he just gave vague answers about them. He said he didn't know where to get the water pump bearings or seals, and didn't approve of my trying to make my own spacer out of a bad LA crank flange on a lathe. He's stated before that he feels the market for these types of swaps is drying up, and I completely disagree. Now that people like CCSammy and others have made getting reproduction parts to keep our trucks alive, more are getting saved and demand is going up. He's already gotten almost completely out of the Sikorsky stuff. His parts are top-notch (I have the V8 kit, and it's well-designed and made), and for him to not be able to continue supplying parts on a regular basis is tough on us guys trying to build our trucks when we have to either wait for many months on end, or he doesn't pass along the know-how to someone else. It's not a booming market, for sure. But, I'm a firm believer in passing along what will help, profit never a factor. I don't want to rant, but it feels like we're being left out in the cold. I'll shut up now.
