the concept of the law was to prevent some guy from buying a container load of weapons that could be used against people , mostly Americans , in a attack or war . As usual the intent of the law gets lost as underlings interpret the law in their own way .
You are aware that a majority of these laws where created by the previous party and not your present government ?
Many of these stupid laws afect us up here in Canada . Our Ferry system is now fully gated and i need to go through a security fence and sign in and out when going through our paper mill .
Ferrys and barges of pulp are a security threat to the USA - seems that some terrorist might steal a ferry and use it as a weapon of mass destruction . Idiotic and costly .

The point of terrorist attacks is to destabilize a country , burry it in additional laws and bureaucracy and then bankrupt the country . I did not make this up , one of the mantras that AlQuada preaches is their goal is to destroy the economy of the nation they are attacking .

I could not get a shifter knob , or blackout lights from the states because these items are a threat to national security ........... very sad and silly place to be . reminds me of the 50s when your government went after american citizens for their communist ideas . those court cases and public displays of outrage seem comic and idiotic today , yet billions were spent and thousands of lives were destroyed in that witch hunt .
Thing is 10 guys with hacksaws could shut down the entire power grid in north east USA . You can not protect yourself from everything .
