Larger Tire?

Hey guys! I have a 1965 Dodge WM300 power wagon. I see photos online of people running super swampers and other modern large aggressive tires on the split ring bud wheels. Ive asked around and supposedly you cant run radial tires on these wheels. How do you run larger tires to where the tubes are the right size and everything is done correctly?
