If I ever get my ambulance done, I'm going to paint it with 8th AF 457th BG insignia, even though I know there were no M43s in WWII. It truly is an ex Air Force ambulance, and I think it would be cool to have the blue slash and "triangle U" on it that was on my dad's plane, the "Big Gas Bird" (say it fast) during the war.
