After having dealt with Hollister Hills for 7-8 years, I'd say that Dan did a great job getting dates this early. It's an inefficient process with frequent personnel and procedure changes.
As much as I thought we were "old timers" there are still a lot of groups that have been reserving dates at Hollister for much longer than the California Power Wagon Rally, and then there's the ones that Dan mentioned that provide revenue.
