39-47 cabs are taller

The 39-47 cabs are taller and sit taller on the frame like on the 42 WC 1/2 ton WWII truck which is why they had sloped hoods. The PW cab is shorter and sits on the frame lower like on the 43 WC 3/4 ton WWII truck. You can see the difference below the door. Disclaimer: I am no expert at all, but I have drawn all of these. Like Kaegi said, I think they put that lower bed on a PW prototype. I believe the lower bed also had slanted top rails vs flat on the first series 47 PW bed. G-Man.

A 47 1 ton would be cool anyway!!
