My old 83 GMC Chevy 6.2 used to do that and it was an injector pump failing. There was a diaphram that was dry rotting inside and it would flake off little pieces of material and plug up an area of the pump with a check valve. I had a valve that the check portion was taken out of so the material could pass thru and it got me down the road a while longer before I had the pump rebuilt. Its probably fuel related........
