Last month we had about a week and a half where the temp's ranged between -20 and +5 here in Anchorage. Went out one morning to take my son to school and it was -17. The car was in the shop for brake work and my Aerostar van doesn't like not being plugged in when the temp goes below 10 degrees. You guessed it, the van wouldn't start. Ended up using the PW to take my son to school that day.
And yes, when the temp's are sub zero, it's a good idea to run the truck in a low gear, at a slow speed, for about a quarter mile to get the gear oil loosened up in the tranny, t/c, and diff's.
