Yes. And the Japanese used one of our strategies. The Pentagon researched how the US would be vulnerable from attack during the war, Pearl Harbor was one of the weak points we needed to strengthen. Control of land, then over control of energy resources, next thing we will be fighting over is fresh water, to drink and for our crops.
