Nope, not a bad engine, they (guys that wrote the books) just all mention - if you can find/use another engine... do it. Wasn't there also a Marine version of those 'baby-hemis'? Bumps along the valve covers (higher rockers?) was the tell-tale sign. Also not a bad engine, just a little tougher to find parts or something... don't have all the books here in front of me so going off of my (failing) memory!!
