Absolutely - not much interchanges. I re-did this 270 Red Ram and learned quick that Chrysler/DeSoto/Dodge were all different... there's even one hemi (can't recall exact year/make) that had the bell housing molded as part of the engine block. All manuals warn to AVOID that particular version.
