So I epoxy primed my cab yesterday. Im pleased with the results. I dont have pictures uploaded yet, but I will maybe tomorrow as a present from me to you..
After the cab was blasted and before I primed, I noticed something very interesting on the sheetmetal on the cab in one area. The panel on the passenger side in front of the door had some type of light stamp or etching that said
"Great Lakes Metal Co./Serial #, Lift #"
How cool is that.. I wish I could get the records from that company which probably doesnt exist so I can see when the metal for that panel was shipped to dodge etc.
And to know the sheet metal came out of the ground here in the USA... I doubt we use our own metal to build cars and trucks these days....
Ill upload a pic or two of the primed cab and the Stamp mark tomorrow.
Has anyone else ever seen this?
