I just checked and they have a notice about resuming shipping firearms once they "improve their process". I believe CTD was one of the dealers "stung" by fast and furious, so I'm sure they're being doubly careful to do everything by the letter of the law. I did a quick check of ammo and they have lots of .223. Sold out of most .50 cal, but that's always spotty. $300 for 840 rounds of milsurp lake city tracer 5.56 doesn't seem like "gouging".
I'm sure there will be plenty of gouging, especially at the gun shows, in upcoming months. What people need to keep in mind is that even if congress passes gun control, or Obama does it by executive fiat, it will take time to take effect. Panic seems to ensue whenever people think there's about to be gun control, but then the talk dies down and prices come down some and you have plenty of time to buy, if you still want to, before there are any new laws.
On the plus side, the people who are the panickiest right now and the most eager to "buy a gun while they still can" are people who never owned a gun before. They're willing to pay whatever the price is because they want to be sure to get SOMETHING. That means they're all new gun owners who maybe never paid much attention before but from now on they're going to be watching their politicians and caring about their gun rights. The guys that have owned guns and ammo for a long time are probably okay with sitting with their present collection for now, even if they're a bit dismayed to see how much it costs to buy anything new these days.
