Velocity, velocity, velocity. Smaller valves and that short stroke will need something with a fast rate of lift, but duration and anything over .465" lift would be counter-productive. Off the shelf, a Comp Cams Extreme Energy 4x4 camshaft with an advertised duration of around 210-214@.050" and .443-.454" of lift would be as big, and as ideal as you'd want. With 4.89 gears and the NP435, it'd be a beast on bottom-end and cruise great. So, the two profiles you mentioned are pretty much (without more details to go off of) right there.
