here is my answer to your shock mount question:

late WCs had tube shocks. you need to swap the axle housing to get the passenger side lower shock mount becasue its welded to it, and drill frame for uppper mounts. I might do that on the next one. and have both styles at once. they will both fit.

yor axle housing may already have the correct eye on the welded spring plate. then you would just need the drivers side spring plate and upper mounts. the early upper mounts look the best and take the bigger shock. I intend to use M37 shocks (same bushing size as late WC/PW). They are plentiful and last forever if they haven't sat out in the elements too long
