First PW my brother and I owned, we pulled the plug out of the crank case, let the water out, and stuck it back in when the oil started to flow.
A year later we tore it down. Valves so burned they looked like daisies, pin circlips fell out, I don't think there was a whole ring or a piston with a whole set of lands left intact. But it sure was fun. Back in '75 we left tracks where nobody ever was before, or probaly has been since. $200 '41, 1/2T Panel. + $6 for a head gasket to put it on the road.
