If you are an employer you are required to follow OSHA. If you are self employed or working at home it is a good idea to follow OSHA regulations either 29CFR 1910 or 29CFR 1926. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) which is separate body under the CDC that is a research organization that provides recommendations and data similar to American Conference of Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH). In short try not to gamble with your health, contact your local OSHA office and ask for information, they are here to help whether you are in a federal state or state run state.
