Thanks to this forum, and Bob C., I finally have a Good Roads plow frame for my Power Wagon. I have not yet started installation. My question is in regards to the 'shock plates', that I also do not plan on using. The G.R. literature shows the plates welded to the OUTSIDE of the truck frame, or is the picture deceiving? I assume the plates to be least 1/4" in thickness...probably more. Does the reduced width, due to not using shock plates, result in any alignment or attachment problems to the lower plow cross-member? I assume that without the plates there is still sufficient clearance between the springs and the plow side plates. Possibly, a solution to any, and all, problems would be to simply 'sandwich' a plate between the truck frame and the plow side plates, although in your photo's it doesn't appear necessary.

Thanks in advance for any advice you, or anyone else, can provide.....Randy.

Still looking for a blade.
