Ok, sorry for not being specific. Wasn't sure what to type.
The shifter moves side to side in neutral very easily, just side to side. Will not go into any gear position. Does not matter if the engine is running or not.
The clutch pedal depresses, all linkages appear to move as they should. I can't tell if anything is happening inside the bell housing?
There is NO grinding or any noise associated with the clutch or tranny, either when the engine is running or off.
