Do you have a slab floor? If not consider hydronic heat in a slab. Otherwise overhead fan-forced furnace with NG or LPG fuel. Maybe even recycled oil burner. Above all be sure to use something that's vented properly and made for use in an occupied area. Electric will probably be too expensive. If it's not insulated, you should do that, too.
