My 74 Dodge would take the silver ends right off the glass tube on one side in the heater circuit. Had corrosion on the clips that held the fuse in place and would create heat. Fuse looked perfect. Pull it out and the silver end came right off. I ended up using deoxit on the contacts of the fuse box and all has been well since then. Lots of connections get tarnished on the old vehicles. I wonder if your Chevy is doing the same thing.............
